I had roughly a 30 year career in marketing/advertising, working at both small/mid size and large (DDB and Publicis) general market advertising agencies in account management and ultimately senior agency management. Client base was primarily in the national/multi-national consumer products/services area including hospitality, retail, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, telecom, health beauty, and automotive among others. Experience includes new product development/launch, brand repositioning, branding, promotion, market research, media planning, creative strategy/execution in addition to agency management responsibilities of financial planning, recruitment, new business solicitation, employee development, etc. Subsequent to my retirement in 2006, I taught advertising and marketing classes at Texas State University and Austin Community College for 8 years and took on some limited consulting assignments with several Austin-based advertising agencies.
